Kïdo Clerkenwell Nursery & Preschool

Our Clerkenwell nursery is set in a converted church hall, with large outdoor play spaces, and a specially fabricated building for babies (with their own garden!) We’re less than a 10 minutes walk from both Old Street and Barbican Underground stations.

The main building houses our toddlers and preschool rooms, with one entire floor given to each age group. The tall windows and skylights ensure natural light all day. The nursery opens out to a huge garden, divided into themed areas for natural play and gardening, turf and sports.

We have created a special unit for babies, catering to the little ones in their own space, with a dedicated garden for them as well. Three access points for the different age groups ensure that pick up and drop off is seamless, and parents don’t have to wait for too long!

Our lesson plans provide fun challenges that help children to understand how things work. This extends to our language classes; we offer Spanish, French and Mandarin programs, designed specifically by own native-speaking teachers.

Kïdo Clerkenwell Preschool & Nursery is a 3,300 sq ft. centre that inspires 80 young children,

By blending the teachings of Reggio Emilia, Steiner and Montessori, we have created an environment that sparks inquisitiveness throughout all stages of learning and development.

What our parents say

Our team

Ms Sapfo Pantzaki

Nursery Manager

Hello, My name is Sapfo. Seven years ago, my husband and I relocated from Greece, kick-starting my journey as a music and art teacher in North West London for the under-5s. Both of my university degrees – a master’s and a bachelor’s – reflect those interests. Eventually, mainstream education came calling when I headed my own preschool center. But my role at Safari Kid is so amazing because I can really indulge in creative activities!

Ms Eleni Chondrogianni

Deputy Manager

Hi, I'm Eleni and I am holding a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) BA (Hons) and Early Childhood Education Paediatric First Aid qualification.

Mr Craig Brown

Head of Preschool - Early Years Teacher

Hey, my name’s Craig, Well, I’ve got a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (P.G.CE) with Early years Teaching status on top of that. You can thank the University of Greenwich for that. What else? I’ve qualified for pediatric care and chemistry if we’re looking at the scope of my scientific pursuits. Nothing, however, can beat the reaction I get from the students, more than anything.

Ms Jieying Ivy Wang

Early Years Educator & Mandarin Teacher

Hello, My name’s Jieying and I have an MA in Early Years Education (UCL), along with a BA in Management with Entrepreneurship from Southampton. Don’t let that last part fool you - I love helping kids grasp Mandarin, far away from the stuffy offices I could’ve worked for if things had turned out differently…

Ms Naziya Odud

Early Years Practitioner

Hello there, I am soon to be qualified as Level 3 Paediatric First Aid.

Ms Shannon France

Early Years Practitioner

Welcome to Clerkenwell, I hold a diploma in Children & Young Workforce Paediatric First Aid. That means I’m good with emergencies, even as I excel the most at what’s on my curriculum any given week.

Ms Rahimun Nessa Ruba

Early Years Practitioner

Hi all, After more than 10 years in professional childcare, there’s very little I haven’t seen or deal with. Safari Kid was my chance to be part of a progressive philosophy that feels new each day. Oh, and I have a Level 3 Childhood diploma, on the qualifications side!

Ms Georgia Spithouri

Early Years Educator

Hi all, I am from Crete, a sunny and beautiful island. I studied Early Childhood Education at the University of Athens. I have worked in an educational program at the archaeological museum of Heraklion and as a volunteer with refugees’ children. Since coming to London I have been working in Montessori and Reggio Emilia inspired Preschools. I have also done my master course as a SENCO at UCL. My best friends will describe me as a loyal, positive and a chocolate lover! I love traveling and learning about new cultures and civilizations.
